    BOOK A TRIAL CLASS

Come try aikido with a free trial class

Book a free trial class and experience the art in a relaxed atmosphere. No prior experience needed.

How to book a trial class?

Come try aikido with a free trial class in a relaxed atmosphere. Trial classes are held by default in Tampere. If you'd like your trial class in Hyvinkää, please mention it in the form or WhatsApp message. Both dojos offer guided, safety-minded practice.

Fill in the form or contact us directly via WhatsApp. We’ll get in touch and arrange a suitable trial time within the published class schedule. If weekday options do not work, tell us your flexibility — we will look for a suitable slot when possible.

The trial class is free and comes with no obligations. Just bring comfortable clothes and a good attitude. If you have questions about membership or prices, you can check the pricing page in advance, but you do not need to decide before trying.

What happens in a trial class?

We agree a time in advance so an instructor can welcome you. A class usually lasts about an hour. We start with a short introduction, practice safe falling, and try a few simple partner techniques. The pace stays calm, and no prior martial-arts experience is expected. You can pause and ask questions at any time.

You can come to the Tampere dojo (Turjankatu 1 C) or Hyvinkää (Urheilukatu 19). If you are unsure which location suits you better, mention it in the form — we will help you choose. After the trial you can continue with the basic course, join via pricing, or ask more on the contact page.

Common questions: the first trial is always free, you do not need your own gear, and you can come alone. If you have injuries or limitations, tell us when booking so we can adapt the session safely. The same applies to juniors and families — share ages and preferences so we can guide you to the right group.

Who is a trial class for?

Adults can try without any prior martial-arts background. For juniors and families we offer suitable sessions — mention in the booking if you are coming with a child. For companies and communities, a tailored workshop may fit better; tell us in the message and we will point you to corporate services or arrange a separate trial.

At Aikido Unlimited dojos, practice is respectful and encouraging. The goal is for the first visit to feel safe and clear — not competitive. If you are unsure when to come, just ask: we help you pick a time from the published schedule.

Before you arrive, you only need the address and the agreed time. Come a few minutes early so you can change and get familiar with the space. If you need to cancel, tell us as soon as you can so the instructor can plan the class. We are also happy to answer extra questions via the contact form.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is the trial class free?

Yes. The first trial class is always free and comes with no obligations. You can try the art in peace before deciding on membership or a basic course.

    Where are trial classes held?

Trial classes are held by default in Tampere (Turjankatu 1 C). If you want a trial in Hyvinkää (Urheilukatu 19), mention it in the form or WhatsApp message.

    What should I bring?

Just bring comfortable clothes suitable for movement and a good attitude. No prior experience is needed, and you do not need to buy gear in advance.

Is a trial suitable for a child or a family?

Yes. Tell us the child’s age and your preference (junior group or family aikido) when booking, and we will guide you to a suitable session. A parent can join the first visit if that feels natural.

    What happens after the trial?

You can continue with the basic course, join via the pricing page, or ask more on the contact page. We do not pressure a decision — take your time deciding whether aikido fits you. If you want another try or a better-fitting group, tell us and we will help.

Do I need to decide on membership before the trial?

No. The trial is specifically a low-threshold way to meet the dojo and the art. Checking pricing and class times beforehand is fine, but no commitment is required before you try.
