Membership and service terms.
These terms and conditions apply to Aikido Unlimited membership, training, and other services at our Tampere and Hyvinkää dojos, as well as remote or special events. By becoming a member, purchasing a service, or taking part in training, you accept these terms. Separate course or corporate agreements may apply in addition; if there is a conflict, the specific agreement takes precedence for that service.
Membership is personal and cannot be transferred. It remains valid until further notice unless otherwise agreed. You may cancel at any time; membership ends at the end of the current billing period. Cancellation is made through the agreed channel (for example the membership system or email). A guardian manages membership for minors and is responsible for payments and communication.
Membership fees are billed monthly in advance unless the price list or agreement states otherwise. Failure to pay may result in suspension until payment is received. Separate course fees, starter packs, or private lessons are billed according to those services’ terms. Prices are shown on our pricing page; we aim to notify members of changes in advance.
Members agree to follow dojo rules, safety guidance, and instructor instructions. Training is at your own risk. Please tell the instructor about health conditions or limitations that affect safe practice. Training while intoxicated or otherwise in a state that endangers safety is not allowed. The dojo may interrupt a session or ask a participant to leave if safety or the training atmosphere requires it.
Aikido is a contact art involving falls, holds, and physical effort. Aikido Unlimited is not liable for personal injury or property damage during training unless caused by intentional or grossly negligent conduct. We recommend appropriate insurance cover. Participants are responsible for their own equipment and belongings on the premises.
Monthly membership usually includes access to published group classes; individual absences are not refunded in cash unless otherwise agreed. Cancellation terms for private lessons, corporate events, and separate courses are stated when you book. The dojo may cancel a class due to illness, facilities, or safety; we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible.
Aikido Unlimited reserves the right to modify these terms, pricing, and training schedules. Material changes to the terms will be communicated to members in advance. Continuing membership after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms, unless you cancel.
Comfortable training clothes are enough at first; the dojo can advise later on buying a gi. Weapons practice uses equipment approved by the dojo. Everyone shares responsibility for keeping the space clean and safe. Outdoor shoes stay in the designated area; go on the tatami barefoot or as instructed.
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Disputes should first be resolved through negotiation. Consumer customers also retain rights under Finnish consumer protection law. If any clause is found invalid, the remaining terms stay in force.
For questions about these terms, membership, or billing, contact us. We usually reply on weekdays. Current contact details and dojo locations are also on the contact page.
